A fresh and rare composition of stout yet playful flowering twigs, blossoms and garlands on a light mint green background from the master workshops of Ravar in Kerman provice. Known for their fine weave and highly elegant design, to connaisseurs, early Kerman-Ravar carpets are highly sought-after pieces.
With its fine wool quality, exceptionally preserved pile, outstanding composition of colours and high knot-density, the present piece constitutes an exquisite and exceptional example of craftsmanship.
The solid yet intricate medaillon at the center forms a pleasant contrast with the perfect symmetry of three outer borders, all of them consisting of harmonically designed bands of flowers in vibrant colors.
